When was Ear Sugar started?
Ear Sugar was started in my northern Utah home studio in 2011. I started with friends and family, branched out to farmers markets, opened a shop on Etsy, and now sell on my own website and local Utah markets.
How do I care for my earrings?
Ear Sugar studs are made to withstand typical life. They are waterproof, and can be worn while swimming, bathing, dancing, sleeping, and playing. To clean your studs, simply wipe them with a damp cloth. (Tip: Avoid getting lotions, makeup, oils, or harsh soaps on your earrings to keep the resin clear and the adhesive strong.)
I have VERY sensitive skin. What makes your earrings hypoallergenic?
Ear Sugar studs are handmade with jewelry resin, and high quality surgical stainless steel posts, with surgical stainless steel butterfly nut backs. They are a great option for anyone with sensitive skin or nickel allergies. These earrings are low profile, extremely light weight, stay in place, and are very comfortable.
What do your sizes mean?
The mm number is the measurement in millimeters from one side of the colorful circle to the other side (cutting straight across the circle). The smaller mm sizes are recommended for 2nd+ piercings, small earlobes, and children. (For example the 6mm option is about the same width as an eraser on a number 2 pencil)
How long does your shipping take?
Every pair of earrings is handmade to order, and shipped within the current listed processing times (usually 1-2 weeks). I ship all orders via USPS First Class mail with tracking from my home studio in Utah USA. The typical time frame for shipping to a domestic US address is 5-7 business days. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to hygiene and safety reasons, I can not accept returns or exchanges on stud earrings unless a mistake was made by me. The reason for this is to ensure all earrings I sell have not been placed in a piercing. I take pride in my craftsmanship and I strive to create very high quality studs, but on the rare occasion that there are any defects or problems with your earrings I am always happy to make it right. Please contact me with any problems.
My number one goal is to make sure you love your earrings. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact me as soon as possible so we can work to a resolution. I am truly committed to my customers.
